Customer Reviews
Good value, minor strap issue
Compared to ordering from StewMac, Solo Guitars has some really competitive prices, especially if you catch a good coupon code. I picked up a Solo Electric Guitar Gig Bag and a Solo 2″ Burgundy Poly Strap With Logo. The gig bag is decent for the price, offers enough protection for casual transport. The strap itself is fine, but the logo printing felt a little cheap and I'm not sure how long it'll last. Shipping was pretty quick and their return policy seems straightforward, though I haven't needed to use it. Overall, a solid option for budget-friendly parts and accessories.
Good quality pickups
Needed new Humbuckers. Ordered them. Arrived quickly. Installed them easily. Sound great. Happy with the purchase.
Excellent Kit, Fast Shipping!
I ordered a Stratocaster Style Kit and it got here so fast, took only 4 days to reach me in California! The quality of the wood was fantastic, really smooth and well-cut. I had such a blast putting it together. Everything fit perfectly, and the instructions were clear. This was my first time building a guitar, and it turned out amazing. I'm already planning my next project. Will definitely be ordering from them again for more DIY kits and I've already told my bandmates about them!
Great value on my first order
As a first-time buyer, I was looking for a good deal on a DIY kit. I found a Telecaster Style Kit on sale, and I also got a discount for signing up for their newsletter. It felt like a really smart purchase. The total cost was much less than I expected for a kit of this quality. The parts are solid, and I feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck. For anyone trying to save a bit, definitely look for their sales and the newsletter offer. I'm happy with what I paid for the kit.
Decent kit, minor issue
I bought a Jazz Bass Kit and overall, it's a solid kit for the price. The wood quality was good and the neck felt nice. Shipping took about a week, which was reasonable. My only slight issue was that one of the potentiometer nuts was a bit stripped, so I had to use one from my spare parts bin. It wasn't a huge deal, but something to note. Customer service was helpful when I asked about wiring diagrams. I think for the price, it's still a good option for a DIY build, just be prepared for a small hiccup or two.

I'm looking at a Strat kit and also a set of humbuckers. Can I use the newsletter signup discount for the kit and then also use a separate coupon for the pickups?
Do these DIY kits come with everything needed to put it together, like all the screws and electronics?
How do these kits compare to like, Warmoth or Guitar Fetish? Is the wood quality decent or more on the budget side?
Hey, I'm thinking of ordering a Telecaster kit but I live in Phoenix. What kind of shipping times am I looking at?
